Beer bashes were held at irregular intervals, but always on Fridays. Beer and wine flowed, munchies were consumed in mass quantities, and everyone got to unwind.
Fun at the OS X Launch Party

Steve speaks to the assembled Apple employees at the launch party for Mac OS X in March 2001. It was held in Caffé Macs, so there was plenty of good food, and when it was over everyone got to pick up their own personal copy of OS X. I dare say many Apple employess stayed up late that night playing with their all-new OS.
