Hi Mike, I first was turned on to a mac while working at an upholstery shop. My employer was young and had used a bunch of mac se's for networking around the office (this was about 4 years ago and still believe he is using them today). Anyways was amazed at the experience and decided to purchase a tower g4 at the time. Nowaday's I'm using a mac mini, and just love this thing but wish it had more power!

Anyways glad you are writing this book, I have always had a dream that one day companies would be more open to the general public and get a sneak peek at how things are done. (It's too bad we can't see a live demo of jobs and company working each day.)

Please keep your words flowing can't wait to hear more about apple and your experiences and why you left (are you nuts?)

P.S. The other day I talked myself into purchasing a windows machine because I couldn't afford a powermac. Well, once it was set up and running, the disk drive began to spin and never stopped, not to mention norton antivirus always popping up and asking me if I want to block something. Anyways I returned the damn thing and asked my wife to knock me over the head if I ever consider buying a windows machine again. Waiting to macintels patiently.

Take Care,
Peter Pallotta

Thanks for taking the time to make this great and unique idea 'tangible'.

I'm nearly done with the text portion of my own first book idea and encourage you to keep going! Just in case you get foggy at times about your goal, just remember that you may set your own pace and anything (nearly) truly goes if you say so!

What clearly distinguishes your effort is that your content is well thought out and presented, compared to a traditional blog's diary feel and sponteneity. You already understand that having your content presented in chronological order doesn't matter at this juncture.

I'v enjoyed what you've shared thus far and look forward to other entries.

All the best.

I am a designer too (in Japan), and I really enjoy reading about Apple for some reason. Especially I like info on Jobs. I love his presentations online. So I really like this behind the scene info. So cool that you actually worked on presentations with Jobs! Wow. A site here in Japan, Presentation Zen, also talks in English about Job's presentation style:

Keep it up, Mike. A.I. Tokyo

What does Apple think about all this? Haven't they in the past pretty jealously guarded their "secrets"? Personally, I think the insights into the inner workings of the company don't detract from my view of them at all, but they might disagree...?
