I worked on fortune 500 advertising for years until health issues made me unable to make heavy deadlines; I was very old for the ad business (early 50s); I had 17 years over the next oldest designer. I have more time now and I am teaching design part time at Eureka College in Illinois.

It’s supposed to be a blog, but since it’s still on an early beta (with only basic aspects of the design defined, but most of the eye candy and fun stuff that goes with the layout like random quotes and pics already there), it only has a test post. Some stuff is in Spanish, since I’m Chilean, so don’t be alarmed by that.
It’s built fully under CSS, JavaScript (for random elements) and HTML. Because of this, it looks like crap on IE for Windows, but it’s great on Safari and flawless in Firefox 1.5. I’m starting to implement a hack called IE7 to make it work on IE for Win too, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Anyways, take a look at it and let me know if you like it and if you’d like me to do some stuff for you, I’d be glad to.
I’d done lots of WordPress blogs, I love CSS (except when looking though IE), however I’m not sure my time will fit your needs. But, if you find no others, let me know.
I’m a fairly young web designer, with 7 years of off and on professional experiance.
My site is my hobby, as you’ll see if you take the time to visit, and is currently under major revision.
I’m also trying to start my own web design firm, and would be grateful for the chance to get my name out there.
I am quite fluent in HTML, and am very comfortable with coding in both html and CSS. I have been exposed to PHP, and have intermediate-level experiance with ColdFusion.
I also have Photoshop/Fireworks/Flash experience, although I’m a lousy artist.
A lot of the sites that I’ve done are either long gone or private corporate web applications (that cannot be accessed via the ‘net) I can, however, provide professional references.
I am running a web design studio with two full-time web designers and programmers. We do mostly PHP, mySQL, XHTML and CSS work. And we all use Mac.
